Los residentes de Ivanhoe afectados por el coronavirus pueden ser elegibles para beneficios estatales

Debido a la “órdenes de refugio en el hogar” de jurisdicciones locales y estatales, el Estado de California ha experimentado muchos impactos económicos. Como resultado, se especula que el estado podría estar encaminándose hacia una recesión económica. Sin embargo, incluso si aún no llegamos a ese punto, en Ivanhoe Sol hemos visto muchos impactos en los hogares individuales que aumentan el riesgo de desalojo o desconexión de servicios públicos importantes como el agua, la electricidad o internet.

Además, el Condado de Tulare no ha emitido una moratoria sobre los desalojos o el cierre de servicios públicos, por lo que estamos proporcionando información sobre posibles recursos financieros para apoyar a los hogares de Ivanhoe, el Condado de Tulare y el Valle de San Joaquín.  

El Departamento de Desarrollo de Empleo (EDD) de California aumentó varios programas de beneficios para los trabajadores que ahora están afectados por el Coronavirus. California está experimentando un número récord de solicitudes con casi 80,000 reclamos separados por beneficios de desempleo sólo el 17 de marzo debido a los desarrollos de Coronavirus. Si usted o alguien que conoce experimenta pérdida de empleo o reducción de las horas de trabajo, puede ser elegible para recibir beneficios.

La documentación médica es necesaria

Documentación medicales son esencial para recibir algunos de estos beneficios especiales. Según el EDD, “este requisito puede cumplirse mediante una certificación médica firmada por un médico tratante o un profesional que incluya un diagnóstico y un código ICD-10, o si no se ha obtenido un diagnóstico, una declaración de síntomas; la fecha de inicio de la condición; su probable duración; y el número de licencia del médico tratante o profesional o la información de la instalación. Este requisito también puede cumplirse mediante una orden escrita de un oficial de salud estatal o local que sea específica para usted “.

También debe tenerse en cuenta que muchos de estos programas se limitan a los impactos del coronavirus que también deben ser certificados por un profesional médico. Como resultado, es extremadamente importante que si usted o alguien que conoce tiene síntomas, le recomendamos que:

  • llame a su médico de cabecera para instrucciones
  • llame a la línea de Salud Pública del Condado de Tulare al (559) 685-5720 durante los días laborables del (559) 471- 7092 durante los fines de semana o después del horario laboral normal de lunes a viernes. 
  • si tiene fiebre severa o estrés respiratorio, vaya a la sala de emergencias más cercana pero llame con anticipación para evitar la posible propagación de la enfermedad. 

También recomendamos continuar abogando por una prueba o un lugar de prueba alternativo si, en cualquier caso, experimenta alguno de los síntomas del indicador pero se le niega. 

A continuación se muestra una breve descripción de los programas que se han aumentado para apoyar a los californianos durante la pandemia de Coronavirus:

Reclamación de seguro por discapacidad

Si está enfermo o en cuarentena, debido a la exposición al Coronavirus (certificado por un profesional médico), puede solicitar un seguro por discapacidad Reclamación. La reciente orden ejecutiva del Gobernador Newsom exime el período de espera impago de una semana, por lo que si es elegible recibirá los beneficios durante la primera semana que esté sin trabajo. Reclamo de seguro de desempleo

Dado que muchas escuelas en el área están cerradas para evitar la exposición al coronavirus, el EDD ha aumentado la elegibilidad para reclamos de seguro de desempleo. Según el EDD, “las consideraciones de elegibilidad incluyen si no tiene otras opciones de atención y si no puede continuar trabajando sus horas normales de forma remota”. Si decide presentar un reclamo, los representantes de EDD determinarán si usted es elegible. 

Además, si su empleador ha reducido sus horas de trabajo o ha cerrado temporalmente debido a las órdenes del Estado, también puede solicitar un reclamo de seguro de desempleo. Este programa proporciona un pago parcial del salario a los trabajadores que pierden su trabajo o han reducido sus horas sin culpa propia. “Los trabajadores que están temporalmente desempleados debido a COVID-19 y que esperan volver a trabajar con su empleador dentro de unas pocas semanas no están obligados a buscar trabajo activamente cada semana. Sin embargo, deben permanecer capaces y disponibles y listos para trabajar durante su desempleo por cada semana de beneficios reclamados y cumplir con todos los demás criterios de elegibilidad. Las personas elegibles pueden recibir beneficios que oscilan entre $ 40 y $ 450 por semana “.

Reclamación de licencia familiar pagada
