On Oct. 21, the Ivanhoe Community Council teamed up with Waste Management and Tulare County for the fifth annual free Residential Clean-Up. The event took place from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Iglesia de Dios on Avenue 332 in Ivanhoe.
This event was previously held at the parking lot of Klink Citrus and although the location has changed the purpose remains the same – to give residents an opportunity to dispose of unwanted items without hurting their wallets.
Over 50 truckloads of trash were collected. In total, 7.74 tons of trash, 2.32 tons of metal, and 1.2 green trash were collected from Ivanhoe.
