Although the 2019-2020 school year ended in May for most students, Friday, March 13th, 2020 is a date that they will remember for years to come. Most VUSD students who attended classes in person last year left school that Friday believing they would be returning Monday. Students of all ages were initially shocked, some were even happy to know that classes had been canceled for two weeks, although these two weeks turned out to be months instead.

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to impact nearly every aspect of our community, the Ivanhoe Sol is exploring additional ways to best provide important information. This month, the Ivan-

Working remotely, having children homeschooled and asking the elderly not to leave their homes has forced many of even the most technologically challenged to learn to use apps that keep us connected to our family, friends and coworkers. It has also forced our public institutions to reconsider how they do business.

In the past weeks we have seen many local communities affected by the COVID, including three major health center outbreaks. With detections increasing each day, it is difficult to affirmatively say when society will return to “normal.’ Until we reach that point, the Ivanhoe Sol is providing several resources that Ivanhoe and Tulare County residents can utilize as we all navigate the pandemic.
